I know that it's hard to wait. And in our rapid paced world of instant gratification, attempting to change the biodiversity of a scrap of land makes time move in slow motion. We find beauty in the small things.
A caterpillar on the move. Hundreds of spiders running across the grass. Swallows and sparrows fighting over bird houses. Butterflies flitting across the tall grass.
A patch of grass can show how much has changed in the last year if we are willing to sit and observe. Protecting trees from browsing deer will help, too.
